The Crown of the Continent Initiative is sponsored by The University of Montana and numerous other partners about whom you can also learn on this website. The off-campus partners are listed on the homepage where links are provided to their own websites. At UM the main campus partners are the Office of the President, the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Office of Research and Development, the Office of the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, the Office of the Dean of the College of Forestry and Conservation, the Department of Geography (the central home), the Environmental Studies Program, the Division of Biological Sciences, and the Department of Geosciences. Other academic units are also participants through their programs, courses, and research activities

It is our intention that this Crown Initiative be as inclusive and open as possible, so we encourage everyone to communicate to us their comments, criticisms, relevant information, interest in participating in whatever aspect they choose, and in supporting our effort however they are able.
